Inside Outside Dance is a not-for-profit dance school based in Brisbane, for young adults with different abilities. The school is run by Rosanne Stuart, whose daughter and super model, Madeline Stuart, is one of the founders, a director and an ambassador for Inside Outside Dance.
The school works with young people with a disability, providing opportunities for them to learn a variety of dance styles, and engage in performances and workshops. Launched in February 2016, the classes are low-cost, high energy and great fun. As well as keeping dancers fit, the classes offer valuable life skills to students, including confidence, socialisation, communication, teamwork, leadership and self-awareness.
Classes are run in Kippa Ring, Mt Gravatt, Enoggera, Jindalee, Brisbane CBD, Morayfield, Maroochydore and soon in Thornlands.
Students are given the opportunity to learn, create and explore new skills and techniques through dance. Some of the more advanced students are invited to become part of an exclusive performance group.
Students who are committed, passionate and talented dancers are offered the opportunity to join the performance crew. The highly regarded performance crew attend and participate at shows and events across the country throughout the year. Previously, Inside Outside had the pleasure of performing at events such as the Special Olympics Dance and Fundraiser, Ability Balls, Fundraiser for Undercover Artist Festival, along with We All Dance with the Royal Ballet at QPAC. We love to help build confidence through performance on stage.
Inside Outside Dance is a place of fun, fitness and creativity, while learning the discipline and skills of dance. The goal is to expand the organisation to 30 locations by the end of 2020, with 50 classes per week. Come along and try a class to help them reach this goal – we can’t wait to see some new faces soon!
